Dust Evans Grandmaitre | Ottawa Law Firm & Legal Services

Anne-Marie C. Magneron
B.A., J.D.

Q: What led you to a career in Law?

A: I took an unconventional approach to becoming a lawyer. I began to consider the profession during my undergraduate degree in History. Although my interest was sparked during my Legal Ethics course, my path towards law took a detour when I travelled to Europe with friends and met my future husband, an Australian living in Spain. My detour led to years living abroad, time that now gives my work a "worldly perspective".

Q: Why did you decide to come back to Orléans?

A: I was born and raised in Orléans and have always considered it home. It was an easy choice to come back to family and friends. Community is very important to me and I am delighted to have the opportunity to raise my two young children, work and contribute to my neighbourhood.

Q: Why did you choose DEG?

A: The Bar in Ottawa is quite small and close-knit relative to the bigger Canadian cities. During my articling year at a large downtown firm I quickly learned that Dust Evans Grandmaitre had a wonderful reputation for quality work and excellent customer service: two important characteristics for me.
